Making a trainer into an online guru
Zoe, a personal trainer and the proprietor of Strong Roots, confronts a pressing issue – her limited online visibility.  She's enlisted our help to craft a website that not only connects her with a broader student community but also educates about mobility.
Her current website, which sporadically hosts blogs and basic information, has struggled to generate significant traffic, serving as little more than a rudimentary digital business card. She's enthusiastic about revamping her online presence and expanding her reach by offering online courses.

About the client

Zoe, a dynamic personal trainer in Amsterdam, balances her commitment to clients with her pursuit of specialized physiotherapy studies. She offers customized training to a diverse range of clients, encompassing families, retirees, and high-level athletes.

Although Zoe does not specifically target a particular demographic, her clientele primarily comprises individuals who come to the realization, typically after the age of 35, that they are not invincible superheroes.

User Research
We interviewed top athletes, yoga instructors, occasional trainees, and app users to understand the appeal of online coaches over in-person ones. Our affinity map revealed two key findings:
1) People prefer relatable online coaches who offer specificity.
2) Many seek expert guidance after injuries.
“I generally follow people that are more experienced than me. Specially gor inspiration/routine”
“For me personalization is important..Generic exercises I can find everywhere online and on youtube...”
“I don't pay for classes ...unless it brings unique and something that no one else can offer”
Problem Statement
Busy adults with specific sports goals need to find a way to exercise regularly and improve without getting hurt
MVP

The goal is to develop a dynamic website that provides tailored routines to cater to the unique needs, physical limitations, and aspirations of both new and existing students.
